BITSS is run by a Board of Directors made up of volunteering members of the TS community. Because BITSS is always growing, we are looking for talented individuals to join the board in providing a truly remarkable experience for our summit attendees.

Fundraising and Development Director

The Board Member who serves as the Director of Fundraising and Development will be primarily responsible for achieving annual fundraising goals as developed in collaboration with, and approved by, the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the strategic and actionable step by step plans to secure annual commitments and multi-year strategic partnerships to meet the organization’s revenue requirements. 

  • Solidify, expand, and diversify donor base and network of supporters to secure ongoing funding from corporate, foundation and individual donors through direct solicitation, grant requests, and other vehicles as appropriate. 

  • Co-develop communications that support the goals of existing fundraisers with programming and communications staff.

  • Design and execute fundraising campaigns (through online programs, in person events, annual appeals, giving Tuesday, and/or other creative strategies).

  • Oversee and manage stewardship activities with donors; meet all compliance requirements (grant, partnership, etc.) through timely, accurate and regular reporting (both narrative and financial). 

  • Manage and oversee donor database, donor mailing lists, online giving vehicles. 

  • Track and analyze monthly contributions report to assure budget adherence; work with Executive Director, Programming Director, and Treasurer to develop and manage annual budget.

Skills:

  • Grant writing experience

  • Fundraising experience

  • Organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Able to work independently and on a team.
