Talent Acquisition Director

Overview: The Talent Acquisition Director plays a key role in building the people side of BITSS — ensuring we have the right team to deliver a successful Summit each year and to guide the organization forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit qualified staff for the week of BITSS, including program leaders, counselors, and medical or educational professionals.

  • Support the Board in identifying and onboarding new members who bring valuable skills, perspectives, and diversity to the organization.

  • Assist the Program Directors in identifying potential instructors, speakers, and special guests for workshops and presentations.

  • Develop and maintain an annual recruitment plan to ensure continuity and smooth transitions year to year.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience in recruitment, human resources, or community organizing.

  • Passion for empowering young people and supporting the Turner syndrome community.

Volunteer Coordinator

Overview: The Volunteer Coordinator ensures BITSS runs smoothly by organizing and supporting the many volunteers who make our program possible. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing people together and creating a warm, welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all volunteer inquiries and applications in a timely and friendly manner.

  • Fill open committee positions and match volunteers to roles that fit their skills and availability.

  • Recruit and schedule parent and community volunteers to assist with opening and closing days, camper arrival and departure, and airport transportation.

  • Maintain communication with volunteers leading up to and during the Summit to ensure everyone feels supported and informed.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

  • Experience managing volunteers or coordinating events.

  • Ability to balance logistics with empathy and enthusiasm.

Co-Program Director

Overview: The Co-Program Director will work in close partnership with an existing Program Director to design, plan, and oversee the weeklong BITSS program. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends creativity, organization, and heart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively develop the annual program schedule, including workshops, social activities, and educational sessions.

  • Coordinate with instructors, mentors, and guest speakers to ensure all sessions align with the BITSS mission and meet participant needs.

  • Provide leadership during the Summit week, helping oversee daily logistics, staff, and camper well-being.

  • Participate in post-Summit evaluation and planning for future years.

Ideal Qualification:

  • Experience in youth programming, event planning, or education.

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

  • A deep commitment to the Turner syndrome community and the mission of BITSS.
